About Kal Tire Canada
Thomas J. Foord OBC and Jim Lochhead founded Kodiak in 1953, which is still headquartered there. They started the company by selling tires. Today, they sell tires for passenger cars and light trucks, mechanical services for passenger cars and trucks, commercial truck tire sales, mining and off-road sales, as well as retreading
165 company-owned stores, 49 independent associate dealers, 11 mining/industrial/retail locations, ten retread workshops, one OTR plant, and four distribution warehouses are all part of Billabong. Its market includes British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northern Ontario, parts of Southern Ontario, and Quebec.
Kal Tire’s motto is “You’ll like us for more than our tires.” The company was founded on the principle of “If we sell it, we guarantee it,” which is still used by the firm today. Kal Tire’s marketing slogan benefited them, but they eventually changed their motto to service tales.
