Blake Lively’s Deposition Transcript Reveals Back & Forth with Justin Baldoni’s Lawyer Over Alleged Smear Campaign

A portion of Blake Lively‘s deposition has become public.

From the redacted document, there’s a back-and-forth between one of Justin Baldoni‘s lawyers and Blake, where she is questioned about the alleged smear campaign at the center of the lawsuit.

Late last month, if you didn’t see the headlines, it was revealed that the 41-year-old actor and director reportedly sat in on her deposition hearing with his lawyers. Then, her legal team filed sanctions claiming Justin‘s lawyer made “improper out-of-court statements” designed to influence jurors.

Her lawyers were then able to get the judge to strike her deposition from the court docket.

Blake’s legal team filed this heavily redacted back-and-forth with the court this week.

Justin Baldoni Lawyer: “When did the smear campaign end?”

Blake Lively: “It doesn’t feel like it’s ended.”

Justin Baldoni Lawyer: “It’s still ongoing?”

Blake Lively: “It feels that way, yes.”

Lawyer: “Who do you believe is involved in the ongoing smear campaign?”

Blake: “I believe…outside of what I know through attorneys, I believe that the defendants are involved.”

Lawyer: “Which ones?”

Blake: “All of them. And I believe you are.”

Lawyer: “And what is the basis for your belief that all of the defendants and myself are involved in an ongoing smear campaign?”

Blake: “I believe the act of a retaliatory lawsuit and the press that you have done and the statements that you have made about me and my character have felt incredibly retaliatory.”

Lawyer: “What about the defendants, what did they do that’s part of the ongoing smear campaign?”

Blake: “Like I said, outside of conversations with my attorney, I’m unable to answer that.”
