About Fisher Price
Fisher-Price is a North American company that specializes in infant and toddler items. Fisher-Price was started in 1930 by two men named Herman Fisher & Irving Price. I bet you can guess where Fisher-Price got its name;). In 1931, Fisher and Price brought 16 of the toys they manufactured to the American International Toy Fair, where they quickly became a big hit.
In 1969, the Quaker Oats company bought Fisher-Price (strange, eh?) In 1991, they regained their independence and were once again sold to the highest bidder. This time, Mattel bought it; by 1997, Mattel decided to market all of its preschool products under the name Fisher-Price.
