History of The Little Potato Company

It all began with Jacob van der Schaaf and his daughter Angela Santiago.

Jacob wanted to have small creamer potatoes from his youth. And couldn’t find them, so back in 1996, he and his daughter Angela tested out the market for little creamy potatoes.

In Edmonton, they grew the first crop of potatoes by hand, doing it all themselves.  It was a Success, and they began selling to farmers’ markets and restaurants.  Demand Quickly Grew, and by the year 20,00, they bought their first Plant to handle everything.  The Plant is still in Edmonton, Alberta.

Products:

  • Small Bags of baby potatoes
  • Microwave-Ready Potato Trays
  • Oven | Grill Ready
